What is 'free cancellation period'?

Almost every flight ticket has a free cancellation period. Travel agents call this “voiding period”. This means that you can cancel a ticket within a certain period of time after it was issued, and you can either get a full refund or not get charged at all.

On C Teleport, you can check the free cancellation period from the cancellation timeline at the moment you’re searching for a flight.

You will see a window with the deadline to cancel the ticket for free as per your local time. After the deadline, the rules will apply.

Or, on the booking screen, you can see the date and time of the deadline in your time zone.

Even those marked as “Non-refundable” can have a free cancellation period.

⚠️IMPORTANT: Since C Teleport searches through different sources worldwide, the deadline can be very different for each fare. Looking at the cancellation timeline is the most reliable way to check it.

For tickets purchased from low-cost airlines or bought very close to the departure time (e.g., within an hour), it may not be possible to obtain a free refund due to insufficient processing time. In this case, the below alert will be shown on your booking screen:

If you have any further questions about the fare policy, you can always double-check with our support team in chat.
