Mandatory Traveler Contact Information

We’re excited to share an update that will significantly improve the travel experience for your travelers by providing them with direct, real-time flight updates from the airlines.

To ensure compliance with airline mandates and improve communication, we now require both an email address and a mobile phone number for each individual traveler at the time of booking.

💡 Key Changes & Benefits

Traveler email and mobile phone number are now mandatory for each individual traveler to be compliant with airline policies.

Travelers receive flight updates, check-in reminders, and disruption alerts directly from the airline.

Due to data restrictions, this feature is not available for low-cost carrier bookings (except Ryanair).

Here are some frequently asked questions about this new feature:

Q: Why are we making traveller contact details mandatory?

We’re introducing this change to ensure compliance with airline policies and to improve your travel experience. Airlines now require the actual traveller’s contact information to be provided at the time of booking, not the travel agency’s details. By supplying accurate traveller information, we ensure that bookings meet airline requirements and that travellers receive essential flight updates directly.

Q: What information will travelers need to provide?

A: During checkout, travelers will be required to provide:

  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number

This information must be specific to each individual traveler.

Q: How do I add the traveler's contact information during the booking process?

A: During the online booking process, you will find a dedicated field for passenger's email address and phone number in the booking checkout page.

Q: What are the main benefits for the traveler?

A: Adding the traveler's actual contact information during booking allows them to receive important notifications directly, including:

  • Check-in reminders and links: Making the online check-in process much simpler.
  • Real-time flight updates: Immediate alerts about delays, cancellations, or gate changes.
  • Important travel information: Any other essential communications related to their flight.

Q: What if I don't have the traveler's contact information when booking?

A: While we strongly encourage providing the actual traveler's contact details, we understand this may not always be available at the time of booking.

As a last resort, you can provide the booker's contact information. However, please note that this should be updated with the traveler's actual details as soon as possible to ensure they receive direct, critical communication from the airline.

Q: How is traveler’s data protected?

We take data protection seriously. This change is fully GDPR compliant, and traveler contact information is handled according to strict data protection standards. The contact details are shared with airlines solely for operational communications related to your specific flights and will never be used for marketing purposes.

Q: Will I need to enter this information for every booking?

A. No. Contact information will be saved to traveler profiles automatically, so you only need to enter it once. For subsequent bookings, the information will be pre-populated from the traveler's profile.

Q: Can you help us update traveler profiles in bulk?

Yes. If you need to update contact information for multiple travelers, we're happy to process bulk uploads. Simply provide us with a CSV export containing the updated passenger data, and we'll handle the update for you.
