# What are the no-show cancellation rules?

Every ticket has its own cancellation rules. These are some frequently asked questions regarding no-show.

**What is a no-show?**
No-show is when a passenger didn't board the flight, and the ticket was not cancelled before the deadline.

**From what moment is it considered a no-show? **
Generally, a no-show starts at the moment of the flight departure, when the plane departs without the passenger. But, an airline can have its own definition of when a no-show starts.

For some tickets, a no-show can start 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours or even 24 or 48 hours before the flight departure time. You have to check the no-show deadline for every ticket you book.

**Where can I check no-show cancellation rules?**
You can check no-show rules before or after booking if you open the cancellation timeline on the platform. You will see cancellation costs and a deadline for the no-show. **Do marine fares have no-show fees?**
The refund rules depend on each ticket. A marine fare can have a no-show deadline and can have no-show fees. But, it could also become non-refundable in case of a no-show.

Don't forget to read the cancellation rules before you book a flight. Read more about it in [this article](https://faq.cteleport.com/en/article/what-are-refundability-and-cancellation-timelines-ybiu2n/).

**What can be the costs for no-show?**
Cancellation fees in case of no-show depend on the ticket.

Sometimes, when there's a no-show, the ticket has the same rules as a cancellation before flight departure time. Sometimes no-show rules can also become stricter than usual. Some taxes can become non-refundable, the ticket can get a cancellation fee or even become fully non-refundable.
