Articles on: How to use the platform

How long is the consideration time?

Consideration time allows users to immediately cancel the ticket without paying for it.

What is the duration of the consideration time?

We fully comply with IATA voiding times, which are different by geography and time zones. Since C Teleport sources cheapest tickets from a large number of geographical sources, the consideration time may be different from ticket to ticket.

The consideration time is always displayed to you before booking and takes into account all rules and your local timezone.

For example. if our customers buy from a US source, we will have the same consideration time as any other US-based travel agent. If it is a ticket from the Netherlands, the voiding window will be according to the Dutch rules.

Let's compare by level of convenience

Let's go from the worst to the best scenario

Online travel agents usually cannot void tickets

You have to pay for every single booking.

Some agents (especially offline) can void tickets

If you void a ticket, you don't pay.

Few agents will extend the voiding window

Some agents (mostly offline) will monitor the reservation and refresh the fare mask (sorry for the geeky term) to extend the voiding window. This process is highly manual. This process depends on the airline rules. The process is also risky because it may lead to loss of reservation.

C Teleport does all of that and more

C Teleport does all of that automatically. In addition, if you book a fully refundable ticket, you may cancel it even after booking and still not get the invoice, because it will be instantly refunded free of charge.

What happens with non-refundable tickets?

They still have the consideration time and you may cancel them for free, unless they explicitly say otherwise. Even for non-refundable tickets, we observe all the procedures explained above, which allows you to cancel non-refundable tickets for free during the consideration time.
